Welcome Spring 2009

As of 7:44 a.m. it is spring 2009 - If I really wanted to, I could take a 5 gallon bucket and gather up all of the snow left in my front lawn. On my way over to Milton yesterday, saw a number of people raking their lawns. The Minor Funeral Home was doing it the easy way. Looked like they must have hired a lawn care professional who had a big wire brush on the front of his tractor and he was making quick work of removing the winter's road sand from their lawn.

As for me, I'm going to wait a while, because although it may not seem likely, there is still a chance for another snow storm and road sand to get thrown back on the lawn.

No big sods on the lawn this year, although chunks of black top can be found. Haven't been up towards Cambridge on Route 104, however, all other routes out of Fairfax Village definitely have the spring heaves.

We got really strong West winds here yesterday. Had I been home longer, would have been a good time to get the broom rake out and whisk the rest of my old dead leaves to the breeze.
