Always somebody out there trying to make a buck illegally;

Officials with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency have a scam warning for potential job applicants.

Agency officials say they've learned of a scam that asks job applicants to pay $1,000 during the hiring process. But there is never a fee to apply for a position with the Border Security Agency or any other federal agency.

Any scam involving a federal agency should be reported to local law enforcement.
