Forum Connects Residents To Their Home

I hear from many Fairfax Residents who have been away that they watch the forum just about on a daily basis to see what is going on back here in Fairfax. This past winter, many have told me, they really appreciated seeing that was happening, starting with the fire at the Steeple Market on Christmas Eve. Mike Cain does a great job with his photos of things in Town and JoAnne Wilkins with her photos outside of town.

I am also very fortunate that Janet Bonneau and Lisa Boucher as well as The St. Albans Messenger are very nice to me and allow me to use their photos and articles.

All of the local funeral homes have me on their distribution list, except for Kidders, so that I receive the obituaries as soon as they are ready for publication and they send me the obituary photos so I can use it in a different manner and size than you see in the local newspapers.

Then of course there are those viewers of the forum who hear about things that are going on, but are not registered or don't wish to post themselves who send me items, which I am more than happy to put up.

As those of you who know me, know, I try not to put up or allow discussions on certain things, particularly something negative about local individuals, so by all means if any of you have a question on something you want to put up, do feel free to e-mail me. If something is put up about an individual by name, that I don't think is appropriate, I do remove it and send a note to the person posting it to let them know why I removed it. We have an excellent group of members and none of this is done to be malicious.

For all of you who contribute to the forum and those of you who contribute through me, many thanks, not only from me but from the many readers who rely on this forum for their local information on what is going on.
