Two Vermont men are being praised by the St. Albans Town Fire Chief after saving two people from a house fire Tuesday morning.

Chief Bob Cross says the fire broke at 36 Button Road a little after 6 a.m.  Cross says two passerby's noticed the fire and saw a person sitting on the front porch suffering from smoke inhalation.  Cross says they asked the person if anyone else was in the house and they said yes.

Button Road is located on the Road to Fairfield from St. Albans.  It is the first road on the left after you reach the top of Fairfield Hill on Route 36.
