Keep your cars locked as someone has been going through cars in the village as well as slashing tires again.

Recent information indicates that the tire slashing & thefts from vehicles occurred from the beginning of Fletcher Road down River Road a ways and probably occurred sometime Monday evening - Anyone seeing anything suspicious should contact the Vermont State Police with their information.

It probably isn't related at all, but I found a bicycle (girls) that was in the weeds over the side of the hill on Buck Hollow (about a mile up from 104). I was hoping someone would have some information so that it can be returned to whoever lost it. If anyone has any info or can claim it, let me know.

Don't be so sure Julie.  If there's no common denominator other than the damage being on the same road, and if it follows a path out river road to some degree and then stops, AND we take into account the type of Stealth it would require ( hence my allusion to someone(s) of foot) one could make the assumption that it's young teens to young 20's people.  Taking into account the 'thrill' or shock value mentality - I'd say it's young teens who think that by NOT doing it on their own street will avoid suspicion - OR that doing at night no one will figure it out.  ALSO - if they're out to cause damage and negative impact - then they'll do anything along those lines.

A truck was vandalized 2 Saturday nights ago on River road, coincidently it was the first bon fire of the season late into the night off Shepardson Hollow rd. same guy with the big white loud truck and loud white 4 wheeler.  We thought it was isolated. Yesterday I saw a car pull up on the bridge and a lady got out and retrieved a blue newspaper box with post from the bank.  LET THE FUN BEGIN! I have seen the sheriff go by our house at 234 River road once in the last 2 months! UGH!
