Few Prison Terms For Embezzlement

Was reading about the lady that embezzled some $300,000 from a company and she is getting a prison term. It reminded me of one of our Fairfax Town Clerks who embezzled some money here in Fairfax and also a Town Clerk in Fairfield who also embezzled some money. Neither one of them served any prison terms. I do remember seeing a write-up in The St. Albans Messenger about it, but both of these individuals lived in their respective communities until they died. I am assuming they probably made restitution, but then again I don't know. You probably would be hard pressed to find anyone familiar with the situation, unless you talked with one of the old timers here in town. It is interesting how small towns deal with this type of situation.
