Maryann got a call yesterday from Debbie Flemming, Manager up at the Country Pantry.  Debbie told her that she had heard she loved Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.  Well, appears that Debbie had never made Strawberry Rhubarb Pie before and since she personally doesn't like it asked Maryann if she would taste test it for her.  She told Maryann it was still hot as she had just taken it out of the oven, but should be fine after it cooled for an hour.

I went down about an hour later and picked it up for her - Maryann said it was delicious and she did save me a small bite to taste.  Final Decision - Debbie (Who by the way is a great cook anyhow) makes a great Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.

Don't know how Debbie heard that Maryann likes Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, but I am seriously thinking that when I register my car next time I will get a vanity plate that says:

DONUTS

and see what that brings

Also, let me know if that job gets to be too much for Maryann, and I'll be right over to "substitute guinea pig," for her!

Why would anyone want to ruin a Strawberry pie by adding Rhubarb ?      I like it straight from the garden , but not cooked with anything.

CHCAKE

It's really ch. cake and maple syrup frosting, but that is too long to put on a license plate and there is no acronym that makes sense!

Smart advertising on Debbie's part.  Share some delicious pie (or whatever else is being added to the menu) with the keeper of the most popular website in town, and many people in town are sure to hear/read about how great the pie is.

I love local, alternative advertising.   Now, for Henry's sake, if Debbie would "test out" a recipe for home made, deep fried donuts. ;)
