I layed down for my afternoon nap and when I woke up and came out in the kitchen, there on the kitchen table was a glad container of warm doughnuts, some sugared and some plain.  I had no idea who had dropped them off.  This may happen in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, but I doubt it.  Anyhow, Suzy, this is what happened here in Fairfax today.  I thought at first the "Doughnut Leprechaun" had been here, but when Maryann got up later she told me that Judy Cleary had called and told her she was dropping off some warm doughnuts.  What a nice lady.  Thanks Judy.  Maryann and I have each had one before supper and I am sure more will be disappearing tonight.

I guess that is why they call Fairfax "The Little Town With The Big Heart."

That was very thoughtful of Judy.
I have to say though - I've been to Jackson and the Jackson Hole area about 8 times (my brother and his wife (who's from Essex) live on the other side of the pass) and people are very helpful and friendly (in fact giving us a ride over the pass when my brother couldn't make it because of an avalanche) - especially if you are a "local" as I'm sure Suzy can attest to. I love Fairfax though and don't plan on ever leaving.

Yes, there are very nice people here, but no Doughnut Fairies!

I really miss living in VT, even if it is gorgeous here!

But no doughnut fairies....
*heavy sigh*

I wonder what percentage of your Current News and Events posts have some sort of food item in the title?  And what percentage I've posted a reply too!  LOL!  And what percentage is a baked food item!
