I am sure many of you new people in town don't know Gabrielle, but Gabrielle is a sharp spry 95 year old lady who is now living in Nebraska, and used to live in Westford, where she and her husband Tony used to run The Westford Market.  She was at Church yesterday morning with her daughter Suzanne (Pouliot) Kern and grandson Arlo (Not sure I have the grandson's name right as I am spelling it the way it sounds to me).  Now, I only see Gabrielle about once a year, but she had absolutely no problem recognizing me.  She actually remembered that my wife's name was Maryann and told me to say "Hi" to her for me.  Gabrielle sat next to Imogene Collins in Church, another one of our Seniors who will turn 100 years old this September.  It is unbelievable how sharp the memory is of some of our older people.

Gabrielle told me that her grandson Arlo went out and got her and that Steve Minor had offered to bring her back.  She was very emphatic when she said, "Now, I am in no hurry to go back, I want to stay here a while."  Tony, who died a number of years ago, and Gabrielle were very loyal hardworking St. Luke Parishioners.  They had two children, Don & Suzanne.  Don's son Tony married Jessica Hayes and they have a little girl (really cute little thing, I might add), who was being baptized yesterday.

As luck would have it, I didn't have my camera with me, but grandson Arlo said he would send me some photos.  It is always great to see our "Old Seniors," especially when their minds are still alert.  Welcome Home for a bit Gabrielle - It was great to see you.
