Nathan Bellows is going to be interviewed this evening on the WCAX Sports news. He is the car chief for the #20 Nationwide car owned by Joe Gibbs Racing and most of the time it is driven by Joey Logano.

Nate is the son of Sheri Rainville and Dale Bellows and graduated from BFA Fairfax in 1993.

Waiting to see if they put up a video, but meanwhile this is the story that went with a video that showed both Nate Bellows and Rick Pigeon, both Fairfax boys:

Vermont Well Represented at New Hampshire Motor Speedway
6/29/09

LOUDON, NH - It might not be the high banks at Thunder Road, or the dirt-caked half-mile of Devil's Bowl Speedway, but the pits at  New Hampshire Motor Speedway are still filled with Vermonter's.

Green Mountain State natives are sitting on top of pit boxes, jumping over pit walls and clinging to stop watches across NHMS every time the Nationwide and Sprint Cup series roll into Loudon.

"I know there are a lot of friends and family in the stands. It's always fun to come back to the New England area," said Dave Rogers, the Crew Chief of Joey Logano's Nationwide Series Toyota.

Dave Rogers is a native of Marshfield  and his car chief, Nate Bellows is from Fairfax. They team up to speed up Joey Logano's ride.

"I grew up on the dirt track of Bear Ridge and then down there in Barre, VT at Thunder Road, going to races with my family like everyone in Central Vermont, said Rogers."

"I worked for Roush for a few years, worked for DEI for three years and then Dave offered me the job at Gibbs and I couldn't resist it," added Bellows.

Joey Logano's Nationwide crew is not the only team to feature a Vermonter atop the pit box. The crew chief for Clint Bowyer's Sprint Cup ride is Shane Wilson, he grew up in South Royalton.

"It's just good to be home, hope to have a good run," said Wilson about NHMS. "I like the track. Get to see some family and actually running real good this week and that always makes it funner."

Richard Petty will be at Thunder Road later this summer, and the king employs a pair of Vermonter's who got their start at the high banks. Phil Surgen is a native of Lake Elmore.

"I worked at Thunder Road with the ACT series for ten years or more. Always knew I wanted to be a part of a race team doing something. You learn everything, the fundamentals of racing. It's not that much different from what I do here. Here it's just a higher dollar version," said Surgen.

Surgen's teammate Rick Pigeon is from Faifax, and he just might be the busiest man in NASCAR. He's a mechanic for the 44-team of Sprint Cup driver A.J Allmendinger. He's also the jack-man for Tony Stewart's #14.

"I work on the fourteen during practice and qualifying and get it ready to race and as soon as it's on the grid ready to race I go and throw on my Old Spice fire suit and get ready to go to work," explained Pigeon.

From the land of sweet syrup to the home of sweet tea, these Vermonter's are living the NASCAR dream.

Rick's with Tony Stewart?
I thought he was with Hendrick and was Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s jackman.
When did this happen?
