   Roger Allyn Stillman, 71, of Englewood, Fla., Naples, Maine, and formerly of Milton, Vt., died July 1, 2009, in Sarasota, Fla., after a brief illness.

    He was born in Medford, Mass., Aug. 18, 1937, to Allyn B. and Dorothea (Deignan) Stillman. He was a member of the Medford High School, Class of 1955. He attended UMass, Boston University and Northeastern University. He served in the U.S. Army at Ft. Devens, Mass.  His career in IT Services included time at IBM, Honeywell, Beede Electrical Instrument and Fonda Container in St Albans, Vt. He began a new career in real estate in 1987 after moving to Florida. He founded and operated Suncoast Buyers Realty in Englewood.  He had served as president of the Englewood Area Board of Realtors.

    He was a Freemason, Shriner and a member of the Elk’s. He was largely responsible for founding the Winchester Youth Soccer program in Winchester, Mass. He was a passionate sports fan and very involved in coaching Little League Baseball and youth hockey in Winchester, Mass. and Concord, N.H. He was an avid fan of New England sports teams, especially his beloved Red Sox and Patriots. He loved fishing and golf and spending summers in Maine with his grandchildren.

    He was predeceased by his wife of 48 years, Sandy. He is survived by his four children: Heather Hayden of Concord, N.H., R. Allyn Stillman of Portsmouth, N.H., J. Scott Stillman of Fairfax, Vt., and Heidi Yetton of Clarksville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren: Addie and Lucy Stillman of Fairfax, Vt., Caitlin and Cameron Hayden, Melissa and Matthew Yetton, Bobby, Jennie, Mark and Ally Stillman, Ian Daniels, and great-granddaughter, Aubree Ryder. Roger also leaves behind his friend and companion, Jane Morin, of Rotonda, Fla. 

    A memorial service will take place at the family summer home, later this summer in Naples, Maine.
