Henry,
Here are some pictures of the hail, with  coin comparisons.
I also had .5 inches of rain in 15 minutes.
A very dark and oddly colored sky, and now bright sunshine.

I would have done a comparison photo, but it was coming down too hard when I took the photos. Great shots (one looks like 1/2 a lifesafer:)
. I hear Milton got ping pong size hail there, sounds more like the one I got althought I believe ours were much larger almost like small snow balls.  It's  kinda strange there are different sizes depending on the location.  It rained so hard our rain gutters were overflowing for the first time ever.

The Channel 44 news had a picture of the hail from my brother, Dick Lavallee, in Westford. It was golf ball size hail.
