AMBROSE G. ‘JUNIOR’ PAQUIN
ST. ALBANS - Ambrose G. "Junior" Paquin, 80, a longtime area resident, passed away early Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at the Northwestern Medical Center following a brief illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Sheldon, Vt. on March 22, 1925, the son of the late Ambrose and Florence (Gilbert) Paquin. On Jan. 25, 1951, Ambrose was married to the former Marlene J. Cross, who predeceased him on Oct. 15, 1980.

He served his country in the U.S. Army. Upon his honorable discharge he was a longtime general manager for Paquin Plymouth in St. Albans and retired as a sales associate at E. J. Barrette and Sons, in Swanton.

Survivors include his children: Ambrose James Paquin and Wendy Marsh of Windsor,Vt., and Jim's sons, Ambrose and Christopher; Peggy Trombley and her husband, Shaun, of St. Albans, and their sons, James and Andrew; Susan Madigan of St. Albans, and her children, Kelly and Joe;  Joanne Kittell and her husband, Dean, of Enosburg and their sons, Benjamin, Matthew and Caleb; and Polly Paquin and Steve Marsh, of Fairfax, and her children Jacob and Alexis; his brothers, Burton Paquin and his wife, Celia, of Swanton, and Clinton Paquin and his wife, Pauline, of St. Albans; his sisters, Hilda LaBombard of Bennington and Teresa Gearty of Walpole,  Mass.; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Beverly Pascavage and Sister Joyce Barrett. In addition to his parents, Ambrose and Florence; and his wife, Marlene; Ambrose was predeceased by four brothers: Chester, Alton, Maurice John, and Clifford; and three sisters: Gladys Cormier, Phyllis Jarvis and Joyce Bishop.

Ambrose's family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at the Haven Health Care Facility, the Northwestern Medical Center and the Fletcher Allen Health Care for the care that Junior received and the support given during his illness.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 9, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the Heald Funeral Chapel, 87 South Main St. with the Reverend Leonidas B. Laroche, Pastor of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church officiating.  Interment will follow in the family lot in Holy Cross Cemetery.  Ambrose's family will receive friends on Friday from noon until the hour of the funeral.
