TOWN OF FAIRFAX
POSITION OPENING
TOWN LISTER

The Fairfax Town Selectboard is seeking applicants to fill the open  position of Lister for the Town of Fairfax.  This is a part-time, paid, elected position.  Required hours vary subject to workload.  The successful candidate will be appointed to the position by the Selectboard for a term to expire on March 2, 2010, at which time that person will be required to be elected to the position.

Town Listers are responsible for performing town property assessments, updating and maintaining files relative to property subdivision, property transfers, homestead and house site declarations, agricultural current use value, hearing property tax assessment appeals, correct identification of property ownership and the data entry of such information.

If you are interested in becoming involved in your local government by serving as a Fairfax Town Lister, please send a letter of interest by Friday, September 25, 2009 to:

Well, now let me see, our listers are Pat McNall, Robin Chapman and Gina Meigs I believe.  Apparently this is to replace one of them, but who???

Wish I had opened my e-mail earlier.

Not sure who has the more enviable job, the Tax Lister or the Tax Collector??

Nope, cannot see her from my backyard,,, thank goodness.
She is in Wasilla and I am in Anchorage.

Her and her family live on a lake in Wasilla.
When she was mistakenly chosen by Sen. McCain to be his VP, the US Coast Guard put a boat on the lake to provide security.
