I can't imagine young Tom Salmon as Governor:

Political scientist Garrison Nelson says the Salmon Switch is less about party affiliation -- and suspects it's more about Salmon's plan to run for higher office -- either Governor or Lieutenant Governor.  This is an opportunistic move by young Mr. Salmon.  It's not the case that the Democratic Party has left them. They have always been on the more conservative side of the Democratic Party.  Salmon sees as an opportunity during a period of uncertainty to seize the opportunity that won't come again for another ten years, but Nelson calls this a risky political move -- and that Salmon may have quote "got off the lifeboat -- and on to the Titanic."

Dear sir,

I notice you didn't even touch the MOST BRILLIANT ORATOR of the GOP of recent history who was at the helm for the past 8 years.

I don't have the time to waste on compiling that collection - though if you want a taste just check out some David Letterman from the past 8 years.

"Conservatives see any progress outside of what they approve of as the 'liberal agenda'.  Apparently no one told them they and what they think aren't any better than the rest of us"

"A closed mind is more dangerous than an ignorant one"
