ROBERT JOSEPH RAINVILLE
ST. ALBANS - Mr. Robert Joseph Rainville, age 80, went peacefully to His Lord on Monday morning, Jan. 9, 2006, from Haven Health Care Center. “Bob” as he was fondly known, was born in St. Hyacynthe, Quebec, Canada on Sept. 25, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Cecilia (Bernard) Rainville. He was a dairy farmer all of his working life. He was a communicant of Holy Angels Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 297, and the Harbor Club.

His survivors include his 10 sisters and brothers and their spouses: Fernende Tougas of Swanton, Marie-Paul Langelier of Fairfax, Imelda and John Tougas of Swanton, Theresa Paquette of Jericho, Bernard Rainville of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Paul and Lillian Rainville of Fairfield, Jean-Guy and Fernende Rainville, Gilles and Claudette Rainville, Jean-Louis and Cecile Rainville all of Fairfax, Larry and Lillian Rainville of South Hero; and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers, Harvey and Gaston Rainville; and sisters, Madeline Quintin and Noella Rainville.

Bob’s family would like to express their most sincere gratefulness to the staff and management of Our Lady of the Meadows, in Richford, and the Haven Health Care Center, in St. Albans for the many years of special care the gave Bob.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. There will be no public calling hours. Interment will be in the Rainville family lot, next spring, in St. Luke’s Cemetery, in Fairfax.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Brady & Levesque Funeral Home and Commemorative Services.

ROBERT J. RAINVILLE
ST. ALBANS – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated for Mr. Robert Joseph Rainville, Thursday at 10 a.m. in Holy Angels Church. Father Leonidas Laroche, pastor of St. Mary’s Church, concelebrated with Father Francis Connor, pastor of St. Luke’s Church in Fairfax and Ascension Parish in Georgia. The Holy Scripture Lessons were read by his nephew, Donald Tougas. Altar servers were Norman Bushey and Fabio Choiniere. Mary Jo Gillilan was the organist and soloist. Words of fond remembrances were shared by his brother, Gilles Rainville, and sister-in-law, Lillian Rainville.

Omitted from his obituary was his brother-in-law, Yvan Langelier of Fairfax.

Attending were representatives of the Altar Society of the Church of the Nativity, in Swanton, Beth-El Housing neighbors, St. Albans Co-Operative Creamery, Germaine Bilodeau Construction and Our Lady of the Meadows staff.

Bearers were his nephews, Ronald Paquette, Andrew Rainville, Gilles Rainville Jr., Luke Rainville, Marc Rainville and Steve Rainville.

Following Prayers of Committal by Father Laroche and Father Connors, entombment took place, pending spring burial in the Rainville family lot in St. Luke’s Cemetery in Fairfax.
