Georgia – Gloria Alice Tremblay, 72, died peacefully on Sunday evening, November 8, 2009, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was born on August 26, 1937 in Shelburne, the daughter of Albert and Mary (Pigeon) Belval.

On September 26, 1959, she married Paul Tremblay in Holy Angels Catholic Church in St. Albans.  She and Paul owned and operated a dairy farm for many years.  Gloria also worked at General Electric, UVM and IBM.

In addition to her husband Paul, of over 50 years, Gloria is survived by her children Sherry Denno of Inberness, FL; Mary Lague and her husband Laurent of Fairfax; Norman Tremblay and his companion, Lori Washburn of Swanton; and Thomas Tremblay and wife Heather of Sheldon.  By her grandchildren Paul, Michael, Kaleigh, Eric, Mark, William and Scott, her sisters and brothers; Pauline Belval of Milton, Louis “Joe” Belval and wife Mary of St. Albans Bay, Roland Belval of Milton, Theresa Maynard of Milton, Rita Dupree and husband Roger of Milton, and Leo Belval and wife Cheryl of Milton and by several nieces and nephews.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday November 12 , 2009 from 1 to 3pm with a Funeral Service at 3pm officiated by Fr. Maurice Roy in the Minor Funeral Home, Route 7 in Milton. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 55 Day Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
