EVA MAE (KING) ROWLAND FITCHBURG, Mass. — Eva Mae (King) Rowland, 83, formerly of 15 Daniel Heights, died Feb. 20, 2006, in The Highlands in Fitchburg, following a long period of illness. She was born in Fairfax, Vt., on Oct. 24, 1922, the daughter of the late Ralph and Glenna (Grenier) King. She worked at several factories as a machine operator. Her husband, Lyle Rowland, died in 1961. She is survived by one son, Cecil Rowland of Wesminster; two daughters, Elaine R. Lucchesi and her husband Arthur of Westminster, and Arlene Bacon of Newport, Vt.; four brothers, Roland King of Georgia, Robert E. King of Milton, Vt., James A. King of Dudley, N.C., and Fredrick King of Florida; three sisters, Ruth Verge of Springfield, Vt., Alberta Rogenski of Saxtons River, Vt., and Althea Greenwood of Santee, Calif; 16 grandchldren, 23 great-grandchildren, 13 greatgreat-grandchilren, a devoted son-in-law, Robert Tucker, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by a daughter, Barbara A. Tucker, in 2005, and a son, Edward J. Rowland in 1939. A graveside memorial service will be held in Fairfax, Vt. cemetery at the convenience of the family.
