Gregory Eric Pappas
(April 5, 1955 - December 9, 2009)


 Georgia – Gregory Eric Pappas, 54, passed away on Wednesday, December 9th at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 5, 1955, in Passaic, NJ, he was the son of Dolores (Dominic) Pappas and the late Gerald Pappas.

Greg served his country in the U.S. Navy and then moved to Vermont in 1979, where he met his wife, Mary Robinson of South Hero, VT, who survives him. He was employed for Rice Memorial High School in Burlington, the S.B. Farly Company and until his illness was employed at Century Arms in Georgia, VT.

Greg had a strong Christian Faith and a love for music. He enjoyed outdoors fishing and attending to his gardens.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mary Papas of Georgia; their children, Aaron Pappas of Fairfax; Andrew Pappas and wife, Shayleigh of St. Albans and Susan Pappas of St. Albans; his grandchildren, Gregory, Jackson, Gavin, Kallie and his mother, Dolores Pappas of Whiting, NJ. Greg is also survived by his siblings, Donna Hood and husband, Jack, of Belleville, NJ; Adam Pappas and wife, Mary Beth, of Manahawkin, NJ, Monte Pappas of Richmond, VT; Gary Pappas of Russellville, MO and many nieces and nephews. He also leaves his extended family, Denise, Tina, Jimmy, Tommy and many close friends

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2009, at 4:00 P.M. at the Heald Funeral Home, 87 South Main Street, St. Albans with Pastor David Rozen officiating. There will be no calling hours. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the AstraZeneca Hope Lodge Center in Boston, 125 So Huntington Ave., Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Private messages of condolence are welcome at www.healdfuneralhome.com. There will be a reception at the Pappas home following the service for those wishing to attend.
