McAlister did some research and learned that 37 other states already have laws that require repeat drunk drivers-- at their expense-- to install ignition-interlock devices on their cars as part of their sentence. The devices cost about $200 to install and $60 a month to monitor.

 I am all for tougher DWI bills. However a man with 4 dwi's in 6 months ? I would guess he didn't have a license anyway. You see too many times the REPEAT drunk drivers keep driving with or without a license. I beleive keep it simple REPEAT drunk drivers GO TO JAIL.      But I would support this bill it does sound like a good idea for many of the first time offenders as a way to be monitored but allow them to be able to get to work (so they can pay big fine)
