When I went out to get my Free Press this morning, where I hadn't shoveled since yesterday, the snow was all crusty like it had sleeted and frozen on top of the snow.  Its interesting how we still remember winters to be so much worse when we were kids, but I suspect it may have been because we were shorter and the snow banks seemed higher.

I have gotten a few notes from friends down South who are extending their condolences to me because of the bad weather and big snow storm.  I have to be very honest with you and say that I love seeing the snow fall.  Fortunately I don't have to shovel as I have someone plow my driveway and I have a small electric shovel that does quick work of my handicap ramp and walkway where the truck is unable to plow.

I also love to sit in my lazyboy at night, turn the lights off in the house and turn the lights on in front and just watch the snow fall.  It is just so peaceful.  Beautiful Vermont, I love it.

I remember walking on top of the crust as a kid... that was so cool!
