Saw quite a few cars up at The Old Country Pantry and in the window was a Red P - Figured they must have a permit for something, so headed up to the town office to look at the bulletin board.

There was a signed permit there for a sign and it gave the dimensions - the sign said:

Vermont Breakfast Company

Open Tuesday Thru Sunday

OK Lisa, how about doing an article and enlightening us as to just what is going on - I am sure the leasers will be 158 Main and it will not be the same menu as Jeffersonville - A breakfast company sounds ideal, especially for that teeny tiny kitchen.

These are only my assumptions based on the permit hanging in the town office.

John Foley, owner of 158 Main, is now leasing the building.
There are many workers currently there.
Carpets are gone, booths are gone.
I left my number with his sister.
I feel very confident we will all be happy soon.

Take Care & God Bless,

John tells me he hopes to open in about 3 weeks - Lots of anticipation here in Fairfax - I will stop in and see him next week - Maybe he will let me take a photo of him so you will all know who he is.

I had to laugh when I heard the name. I love it and think it is very appropriate for all the ones who wanted breakfast to be on their menu. I assume it will be. What an asset to Fairfax.

So if they "expand", will their slogan be "Vermont Breakfast Company... Now serving DINNER!" ?

I waz beside myself in grief when the country pantry closed.  It happened at the worse possible time for me.(Had the in-laws up for the holidays, I waz stuck cooking breakfast because of their closure)
I'll be counting down the days for their grand opening!

That would be weird for a place called the Vermont Breakfast Company to only serve breakfast 2 days a week and meals other than breakfast 4 days a week....

I think it might be a good idea for the new owner to take down the suggestion box until he gets confident on his new venture. You can't please all the people all the time but you can please some of the people some of the time.

If the food is as tasty as it is at 158 Main in Jeffersonville, I don't care what they call it ;-)  Looking forward to it opening.
