A man attacked and robbed a St. Albans woman at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday, local police said.

Police said the attack occurred in a driveway at 24 Oak St. The man repeatedly struck the 32-year-old woman in the face, stole her purse and cell phone, and fled on foot, St. Albans police said. The woman's purse contained cash, prescription medication and keys, police said.
