Mike Cain, President of the Fairfax Historical Society, accepts a CDROM and MP3 disc created from a 1970s audio tape from Carol Graves, Sunday afternoon, March 12, at its quarterly meeting.  The Fairfax Historical Society has 18, hour-long tapes of interviews with Fairfax residents done by Dr. Stuart Orton during that time frame.

None of those people interviewed are alive today, but thanks to Carol, their knowledge of the town and its history can now be shared with many without fear of ruining the tapes.  Carol needed 110 hours of credit for a CCV Internship, but this particular one will far exceed those hours.  "Not a problem," she says, "I'm very excited about doing this."
