Hi all,

Elementary School was closed in St. Albans yesterday when 27 teachers and 78 kids were hit by a flu-like illness.

The flu-like illness included fever, a cough and vomiting and the older students were hit particularly hard.

St. Albans BFA normally has an attendance between 90 & 95 percent, but it slipped to 85 percent on Thursday according to Ned Caron, Principal.

For the most part it was ok yesterday.

The school closed mainly because there was no way to find 27 substitute teachers, according to a St. Albans Messenger report written by Lee J. Kahrs and Leon Thompson, Messenger Staff Writers.
