LAWRENCE "LARRY" PROVOST

 COLCHESTER, VT - Lawrence "Larry" Provost, 72, a longtime resident of Colchester died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington following a short illness. Larry was born in Burlington on May 7, 1937 the son of Allen and Orina (Cavanaugh) Provost. He served his country with the United States Army. He was married in Burlington on June 6, 1964 to June (Pierce) Provost. Larry was employed for many years at Walter Munson Dairy Farm and at Elm Hill Farm. He was an avid vegetable gardener and enjoyed spending time with his family. Larry is survived by his wife of 45 years, June Provost; two daughters, Lynn Campbell, and Julie Provost and Jerry Lesage; grandchildren, Joshua, Andrew, and Duane Jr.; sisters and brothers, Catherine Corse, Mary and Roger Boozan, Gladys and Harold Degree, Donald and Theresa Provost, Eleanor Brown, Raymond and Marilyn Provost, and Leon and Diane Provost; many nieces and nephews. Larry was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Buddy Provost, Jimmy Provost, Liz Potvin, Mildred Smith, and Dorothy Dyer. A celebration of Larry's life will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the V.F.W. in Winooski. There will be no visiting hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association, 1110 Prim Road, Colchester, Vt. 05446. Arrangements are with the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St. in Winooski.
