Maryann is filling out our Census Form to mail in - It wants the data as of April 1, 2010, so we are both being optimistic.  Its important that you fill this out and mail it in, so keep it in your Top Priority File.  Ours is in the mail back - How efficient are we??

So if they want you to send it back immediately but want the data as of April 1, 2010, do you respond immediately or wait until April 1st?  And as long as we're on the subject ... was it really necessary to spend my money to send me a notice last week saying that I would receive it this week?

I was one whom filled out the census form & mailed it right back.  There must have been a lot of money for this procedure as I also received the card saying the census form was coming, then the census form itself, then a reminder card to mail it in as the deadline was nearing (which had been done within a few days of receiving the form!)  & now I received a few hangup calls & another leaving a message to contact a phone number given as they had questions about my form.  I waited on the line over 10min for a person to come on, estimated wait time was under 8min. the recording said, then I was asked LOTS of questions about people living in my household- all which I had already answered on the form!  Questions I felt were a little ridiculous: if anyone lived with me part-time (NO) but if they had, had they been in an institution, incarceration, group home, foster home, in the service, staying with friends.......; ages of people living here; anyone else ever stay over- is that their business?; nationality of my son.......  Anyone else get this?  I did get an address to write to & maybe I should, BUT then, how much more would be spent to follow up?  Sure seems in a time like this, $$$ could be spent more wisely.......or maybe that's how our leader has said he's created new jobs???!!!!
