I notice that The BFA Sous Chefs are mentioned on The Junior Iron Chef page - Anybody know who these students are and if they competed in the recent competition??

My daughter Ellen was in it with some of her friends.  I'll ask her who else was there.

Pete, are these kids at a tech school?  Does BFA have a group called Sous Chefs?  Would love to get a photo of them and if their parents don't mind put up their names - I don't care if they won anything or not.

Also, I don't suppose they have Home Ec in school here any more as I suspect that stuff is all taught at one of the local tech schools.

There were three kids from BFA that paticipated. I was talking with Sue O'Brien, who is the Family and Consumer Sciences teacher(FACS), and she showed me some pictures that she took. I can ask if I could borrow a couple and post them here. They still have Home Ec, but they do more than cooking. And these kids were not from the tech center.
I'll see what I can do.

Thanks Mike - They used to do more than cooking in Home Ec when Maryann was in school - I believe they had a bunch of sewing machines (Much to Maryann's chagrin) also along with some other things.  I do believe they had a Home Ec room back then.

Ellen is not in tech school, she is a good cook and is something she was interested in.
