Bernard Joseph Rainville, 74 of Fairfax, VT/Stuart, Fl passed away Friday May 5, 2006 at the Vermont Respite House in Williston. He was born the son of the late Joseph and Cecile (Bernard) Rainville on February 11, 1932 in Sheffield, Quebec. He worked for many years as a Quality Supervisor for a plastic company. Bernard will be greatly missed by all those who had the true pleasure to know and love him.
He is survived by: His son Jimmy Rainville of NJ, Three daughters: Joan Rainville Radcliffe of NJ, Judy Helmer and her husband Stan of Oklahoma, Joanne Perez and her husband Oscar of Clifton NJ. Five Brothers: Lawrence and his wife Lillian, Jean Louis and his wife Cecile, Paul Emile and his wife Lillian, Jean Guy and his wife Fernande, Gilles and his wife Claudette. Four Sisters: Fernande Tougas, Marie-Paul Langelier and her husband Yvan, Imelda Tougas and her husband John and Theresa Paquette. One Aunt Sister Imelda Rainville, Several Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by Three Brothers: Harvey, Gaston, and Robert. Two Sisters: Madeline Quintin, and Noella Rainville.
There will be no public visiting hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday May 9, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Luke Catholic Church, Fairfax, VT with Reverend Francis Connors. Burial will follow in the family lot in the St. Luke Cemetery, Fairfax VT. Memorial contributions in Bernard’s name may be made to the Vermont Respite House 99 Allen Brook Rd. Williston, VT 05495. BERNARD JOSEPH RAINVILLE FAIRFAX - A Mass of Christian Burial for Bernard Joseph Rainville was celebrated on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at 10 a.m. in St. Luke Church with Reverend Francis Connors officiating assisted by Deacon Stephen Ratte. Special musical selections were offered by organist and soloist Claire Hungerford.
Liturgical readings were read by Lillian Rainville and Therese Paquette. Immediate family members presented the offertory gifts. Loving family remembrances were shared by all attending by Bernard’s brother, Gilles Rainville. Reverend Francis Connors and Deacon Stephen Ratte offered committal prayers at St. Luke’s Cemetery for both Bernard and his brother Robert, who predeceased him a short time ago. Both brothers were buried together following the committal service in the family lot. Bearers, all nephews, were Daniel Paquette, Andrew Rainville, Gilles Rainville Jr., Luke Rainville, Dale Rainville and Peter Rainville. A reception followed in St. Luke’s Parish Hall.
