Greetings from camp Phoenix, as we begin our 8th week (I almost lost count ), I think you would enjoy the view of the mountains that we have here on a clear day. One looks like we are in Stowe with the snow caps and run lets (can you call them snow run lets?) The other is the barren earthen mountain. This one reminds me of MASH, when the program starts and the copters are coming in. Had our first memorial service. A terrorist in Afghan Army uniform went up to one of our soldiers, in a secure area, and blew himself up. This area was a camp within a camp. A place where our soldiers are training their would-be soldiers. The soldier was from Fall River, Ma.
Just reminds you, where you are, and just what is out there and the need to be vigilant. Best to all.
