This Date in History
On May 25, 1991, the old fire station was torn down.
At Town Meeting 1990, the voters of the Town of Fairfax voted to build a new fire station. At Town Meeting 1991, voters approved the Fairfax Historical Society to tear down the old station to move the old town hall across the street to serve as their new museum.
Saturday morning, May 25, 1991, Tom Patry began tearing the old station down.
