How you use your cell phone on the road is about to change.

Gov. Jim Douglas will sign Vermont's new distracted driving law in Montpelier today.

It means no more sending texts or emails while driving, an offense for which all drivers will face stiff fines. The law goes even further for drivers under the age of 18. They won't be allowed to use any hand-held electronic devices, not to make calls or shuffle through music on their iPods.

Teens can also be pulled over for not wearing their seat belts.
