Did the new box come with Vista or WIN7?
I upgraded from XP to WIN7 a few months back and I am still learning new stuff.
Sorta fun to dink with it.

At work they put Office 2007 on our machines and I am SOOOO lost.
They upgraded me from Office 2003.
I do like Outlook 2007 better though.

Here at home the computer the wife uses has Office 2007 but I never use it, guess I need to practice with it now.

I have Windows 7. Not real happy with it. Don't understand a lot of it, but I am learning.
I also have Office 2007. Played around with fonts for the posters for the Social last Sunday. Neat stuff.

My initial problem was that I was over thinking stuff.

If you remember WIN3.1 you know what I mean.

Hey Cuzzin Mike -

I am right there with you on Office 2007.  Especially Word...it sucks!!!  But - Outlook 2007 is actually kinda cool.  I don't have the complete suite on my work computer, but I spend some time on one of the laptops and have played with it.  The thing that really bites about all of it (Windows 7, included) is the changing of the vocabulary to try to make Apple.  I once spent 10 mintues trying to find things only to realize the words are different.  Stupid Microsoft...

 Yo MikeF9,  Did you ever find a program to work on your pictures.  If not , or even if you have, you could try GIMP http://www.gimp.org/.  GIMP is an open source program and is as free as a breath of air.  GIMP will probably do what you need and more.

I do like Outlook 2007.
Despise Excel 2007.
As for converting MS to Apple....no idea. I am anti Apple.
Also, do not KNOCK WIN7.... it rocks!

I will try out GIMP but Picasa is pretty cool, so far. I am always looking for something new and easier!

I know of an awesome open source "Office Suite"....I'll post that in the Reviews area though. Not sure if it works with MS 2007 yet. OPEN OFFICE is the name.
