Bridge #10 Is Open - Mike Spaulding First Car Across - 3:16 P.M.

At 3:05 p.m. Blow & Cote Employees are checking things out


Some of the cones are being picked up


They are getting ready to load some of the barrels on the pick up truck


The first car belonging to Mike Spaulding crosses the bridge immediately after the Road Closed sign is removed at 3:16 p.m.


Don't know who was in these vehicles, but they were the third & fourth to cross.  The second was & SUV, but I was identifying the guy driving the first car and didn't get a photo of it close up.


And from there on the cars kept coming -

WooHOOO! Maple street is already quieter and thankfully, although the covered bridge wasn't so lucky, no drivers or pedestrians were harmed (which is no small miracle considering the confusion and some of the driving we witnessed). I have great appreciation for those who worked on Bridge #10 and got it done in a timely fashion.

You couldn't ask for a nicer group of guys than those working on Bridge 10 for the past month.  I spoke with several of them over that period and all very polite and did their best to answer any questions I asked.
