Happened to be checking face book and saw a post by Chris Santee that it was raining cats & dogs.  I wasn't aware of it as the air conditioners were going full blast, so went out in the mud room and checked and sure enough it was coming down in buckets.

I went out this morning when I got my Free Press and checked my rain gauge - It measured 1 inch, so indeed the brief rain storm dropped a pile of water.

Truly interesting - I have been reading the different reports on the rain around and a number of areas close by got none while others only got a minute or so - Was thinking of our St. Luke's Little Kill Deer and her 3 eggs - If it rained as heavy down there as it did here, the eggs must be gone.
