TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN

FROM:   Stephanie Barrett

RE:      Route 128 Westford – Fairfax Repaving Project

DATE:      8/6/2010

The following is the schedule of the construction to take place on Route 128 for the week starting August 09, 2010.

DETOUR – ROAD CLOSURE
August 11 to August 24

Due to a culvert replacement north of the Westford Village “Greens”, a section of Route 128 will be closed and traffic will be detoured onto Cambridge Road, Westford/Toof Road, Fairfax to Route 104 and back onto Route 128.

Along with the culvert work this week paving to take place in the “reclaimed” section of the project.

Please note traffic control will be present.  We ask motorists to use extreme caution while traveling through the zone.  The safety of the workers along with the motorists is of the utmost importance.

The Public Relations telephone number for the public to call with any questions or concerns is 802-862-6085.

Just a heads up in regards to the reconstruction of Rt. 128.  If you see a green tanker truck headed your way, close your windows.  He is spraying down the surface with water.  I witnessed two times this past week drivers waiting at the temporary stop get a "little" wet as their windows were down.  It probably didn't help them that they were both on their cell phones at the time.

I bet if Mike Raburn were driving that water truck, he'd turn the spray UP when passing to a convertible :)

I'd probably be tempted as well though... :D
