Marion A. (Gillilan) Spaulding

Fletcher - Marion A. Spaulding, 91 passed away with two loving nieces by her side on Wednesday August 4, 2010 at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington.  She was born in Fletcher, VT on September 28, 1918 daughter of the late George and Effie (Burdick) Gillilan.  Marion had been employed for numerous years as a bookkeeper for Pease Grain Company.  She was an active member of the Binghamville United Methodist Church and the Fletcher Grange #473.  Marion had served as the past Matron of the Order of the Easter Star with both the Temple Chapter #75 and Johnson Chapter #65.  She will be greatly missed by all those who had the true privilege to have known and loved her.

She is survived by:  Her sisters-in-laws Meredith Gillilan of Fletcher and Ardelle Spaulding of Fairfax as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was also predeceased by her husband Harmon Spaulding in 1966, her brothers Earl, Roy, David, Cleon and Walter and her sister Ethel J. Snide.

At Marion’s request there will be no public visiting hours or services held.  Memorial contribution in Marion’s memory may be made to Binghamville United Methodist Church c/o Charles Tinker, 629 Fairfax Road, Cambridge, VT 05444 or the Binghamville Cemetery c/o Becky Neopolitiano, 648 Fletcher Rd, Cambridge, VT 05444.  Arrangements are by John D. Marion was one of those great ladies who lived her values, lived her faith.  All of us who had the privilege of knowing her are blessed, indeed.
