MCNALL CORN PROJECT

I will post some more pictures from Mohawk for Tuesday, but I wanted to post these shots from Saturday morning. I went up to the corner of 128 and McNall Road, as the McNalls have planted a variety of kinds of corn.







There were some people on the corner, with an adult taking pictures of the kids next to the corn. I didn't interfere with what they were doing. I started walking down McNall Road to get the "Corridor of Corn" shot when a car pulled up next to me, and a woman said, "Want me to take your picture?". It was Karen McNall. I said Sure!, we found a spot, and she snapped a couple of shots. I have cropped them from the original, to give an idea of just how tall this stuff is.




Karen said I looked small compared to the corn. Thanks, Karen, for taking my picture!

That corridor of corn is really something Mike - Has anybody actually measured the height??

Last I knew I was 6' 1/2". When Karen was taking my picture, she said it would take two of me to be as tall as the corn. 12'. It has stopped growing, because it has tassled out.
The next time, I will try to get a shot of how high the ears of corn are.
