The brand new Tanker 3 arrived at the station Tuesday. Members looked the truck over and added equipment to the vehicle to make it ready to roll.

Current and future firefighters like the new truck.

Jordan Hayes noticed the cab "Has that new car smell."

The port-a-pond swings down......

for easy access.

I know it is a tanker but I didn't see any intakes to draft.

Drafting is not an option there?

Also,,, someone needs some new jeans.

I think the tankers we have here in Anchorage draft.

Due to the Hillside area not having hydrants, I could be wrong.

No Mike you are right. A lot of the tankers on the market today are Pumper/Tankers. When we where looking to order this truck we went with a plain old Tanker (water hauler). It saved a lot of money ($40,000) ,we have 2 real nice pumpers, it keeps the truck shorter to get around on our narrow roads,  and this tanker will have a onboard portable pump that can either be used to fill it back up with water or hitch to the tank and be used to pump the tank out.
