Annette (Brosseau) Minor Tefft St. Albans - Annette (Brosseau) Minor Tefft, 60 passed away peacefully on Tuesday September 7, 2010 at the Vermont Respite House with her loving husband, family and friends by her side after a long and courageous battle with lymphoma cancer. She was born in Winooski on December 1, 1949 daughter of the late George and Bernadette (Kirby) Brosseau. Annette had been employed for numerous years at Minor’s Country Store in Fairfax. She married Gregory Tefft in St. Albans, VT on May 26, 2001. Annette enjoyed many simple pleasures in life; Family and holiday gatherings, girlfriends only weekends, baking (we’ll never forget those baked beans and cream pies!), gardening, traveling/vacationing with her husband, a new found love for camping and most importantly of all, loving her husband, children and grandchildren.
Annette had a proud and special way of appreciating her family and friends that will be dearly missed. She was the foundation of what is a beautiful family and leaves behind a lot of loving friends.
She is survived by her husband Gregory Tefft of St. Albans; Her sons: Kris Irwin and his wife Kim-Xem of Williston and Kris’s grandmother Sally Irwin of Winooski; Aaron Minor and Lisa Benjamin of Fairfax; Kellie Minor and Charles Rowse of Fairfax; Three step-sons: Christopher Tefft of Cambridge; Michael Tefft of Cambridge; Cory Tefft of St. Albans; Two brothers: Donald Brosseau and wife Paulette of Winooski; Bob Brosseau and wife Debbie of Jericho; Three Sisters: Claire Williams of Winooski; Aline Pelkey and husband Tony of TN; Sue Reynolds and husband Sid of Milton; A grandson: Noah Rowse; Her father-in-law Harry Tefft and Margjie of FL; Brother-in-law Geoffrey Tefft and Brenda Jock of NY.
She was predeceased by husband Alan Minor in February 1998 and is also survived by Lee Minor and wife Louise, Stephanette Potvin, Jeffrey Minor, Diane Bacon, her husband Michael and their son Nicholas, Glenn Minor, his wife Amy and their daughter Addison, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was also predeceased by her brother Richard Brosseau.
Annette’s family and friends would like to express their thanks and gratitude to Dr. John Hill and the caring nurses/staff of the Hematology/Oncology unit at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. The family would also like to thank everyone at the Vermont Respite House in Williston for the wonderful care that Annette received in her final days.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday September 9, 2010 from 1:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday September 10, 2010 at St. Luke Church at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Julian Asucan officiating. Inurnment will follow in the family lot in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Fairfax. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to benefit the Grandchildren’s education fund c/o Lisa Benjamin, Merchants Bank, 180 Swanton Road, St. Albans, VT 05478.
