The minutes presented below are unapproved
, subject to corrections and/or additions at the next
Selectboard meeting. Those corrections and/or additions will be written
to the original minutes. If you, the viewer, wish to personally
see those changes, you will need to go to the Fairfax Town Office to view
those changes as written on the original paper copy.
Any time the Selectboard "amends" the previous weeks' minutes, there will be a
statement to that effect in the minutes of the meeting at which the "amending"
occurred.
Selectboard members Jeff Blake, Judy Cleary, and Bill Ormerod were present at the meeting. Also present were Erin McSweeney, Randy DeVine, and Peg Stewart. These minutes are unofficial until approved by the Board at the next regularly scheduled Selectboard meeting.
The meeting was called to order at 7:00PM. Randy reviewed the following reports for February: the Permit Monitoring Report and the Water Usage Report. He informed the board that he and Maurice will be attending a workshop in Morrisville on Wednesday. He also informed the board that he has done composite sampling and water sampling for March. He also has completed 3 sets of influent /effluent tests to monitor total phosphorus for Dubois & King as part of the WWTF Expansion Feasibility Study.
Judy motioned to enter Executive Session at 7:38PM. Bill seconded. All board members voted in favor.
The board came out of Executive Session at 7:50PM.
OTHER BUSINESS: The board reviewed the items on the Correspondence Worksheet. The board will review the cost estimate from Ken Yelsey when a full board is present. The board discussed the comments from Jeff Fehrs regarding the Solid Waste Implementation Plan that was submitted in April of 2006. The board reviewed the report of uncommitted reserve hydraulic capacity from the State of VT Waste Management Division. Erin will continue working on coordinating the arrangements for a Rabies Clinic. The board will discuss the example of a Winter Operations Plan next week when Don is present. Bill discussed a concern he got from a resident regarding vandalism to his property. Bill has spoken with Lt. Evans of the State Police; the State Police will be increasing their presence during dark hours. Bill also informed the board that he has e-mailed his presentation from Town Meeting on Saturday to Henry Raymond to be posted on his website. Judy informed the board that she will resume working on the Forest Management Plan with Don Pigeon and Sam Hudson in the spring.
PUBLIC INPUT: Peg Stewart attended tonight's meeting to discuss the structure of the Recreation Department. Carol Lizotte had to reschedule and will be on the Agenda at a later date.
The Selectboard meeting was adjourned at 7:50PM.
