The minutes presented below are unapproved
, subject to corrections and/or additions at the next
Selectboard meeting. Those corrections and/or additions will be written
to the original minutes. If you, the viewer, wish to personally
see those changes, you will need to go to the Fairfax Town Office to view
those changes as written on the original paper copy.
Any time the Selectboard "amends" the previous weeks' minutes, there will be a
statement to that effect in the minutes of the meeting at which the "amending"
occurred.
Selectboard Members present: Bill Ormerod, Judy Cleary, Jeff Blake, Charlie Swanson and Randy DeVine. Staff Members present: Erin McSweeney, Administrative Assistant to the Selectboard, and Don Pigeon, Road Foreman.

1.Call to Order
Bill Ormerod, Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 7:02PM.
2. Minutes
Randy motioned to accept the minutes from the meeting on October 22, 2007, as written. Judy seconded. 4 board members voted in favor of accepting the minutes as written, and 1 board member abstained.
3. Items on the Agenda
A. Don Pigeon - Reviewed the following Access Permit applications:
· Louise Covi on Carroll Hill Road; 15" culvert required, cut brush 200 feet in both directions.
· Louise Covi on Carroll Hill Road; 15" culvert required.
· Louise Covi on Carroll Hill Road; no culvert required; cut brush and trees 200 feet in both directions.
· O&R Realty on Rood Mill Road; 18" culvert required, cut brush and remove willow tree.
The board reviewed an application from Larry Martel requesting permission to dig across Rood Mill Road. Jeff motioned to approve Larry's request to waive the 60 day waiting period, provided the lines are installed by November 15th; Larry must also pay for a performance bond. Judy seconded. All board members voted in favor.
The board reviewed the Winter Operations Plan. Charlie motioned to adopt the Winter Operations Plan. Judy seconded. All board members voted in favor.
B. Randy DeVine - Continued to read meters; there are 62 meters left to be read before bills can go out. A letter will be sent to the residents with these 62 accounts advising that they should call and make an appointment to have their meter read. Randy informed the board he has ordered some replacement parts for pump #1 at the Ladd pump station.
C. Skip Taylor - Reviewed an Activity Report for September 18th-October 29th. He informed the board that the survey for the Town Plan will be mailed to residents on October 30th and will be due back by November 15th.
4. Public Input
There was no public input this evening.
5. Other Business
A. Fairfax Fire District #2 will have its first meeting on Tuesday, October 30th, beginning at 7:00PM at 38-102 Hawley Road. Election of officers will take place.
6. Adjournment
Judy motioned to adjourn the meeting at 8:40PM. Randy seconded. All board members voted in favor. The meeting was adjourned at 8:40PM.
