Any time the Selectboard "amends" the previous weeks' minutes, there will be a
statement to that effect in the minutes of the meeting at which the "amending"

PUBLIC MEETING
NOVEMBER 23, 2010
Selectboard Present: Bob Horr, Chair, Bill Ormerod, Randy DeVine, John Mitchell and Peter King:
Public Present: Jill Muhr, VLCT Trust Officer and Martha Taylor-Varney
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m. by Bob Horr.
Jill Muhr, VLCT Health Trust Officer proceeded to present information to the board regarding health insurance plan’s and costs to the Town. The Town’s currently selected health care plan (HP 10/20 B) will have a premium increase of 18% for 2011.
Peter made a motion to enroll the town in the HDHP value 1500 Plan, with a 100% contribution by the town to the premium cost of the plan, a 90% contribution by the Town towards the deductable via a HAS account, and 100% contribution by the Town of the co-insurance if needed for use by employees.
The motion was seconded by John.
Vote 4-0-1 in favor of the motion.
Jill was schedule a session with the town employees and their spouses to discuss the new health plan and coordinate with Stacy to determine the location.
Peter made a motion enter executive session to perform an interview for the vacant Zoning/Planning Assistant position at 9:08 a.m.
Randy seconded the motion.
Vote 4-0-1 in favor of the motion.
Peter made a motion to exit executive session at 9:48 a.m.
Randy seconded the motion.
Vote 4-0-1 in favor of the motion.
Peter made a motion to hire Martha Taylor-Varney for the vacant Zoning/Planning Assistant position, at a starting rate of pay of $15.00 with a start date to be determined, at
9:49 a.m.
Randy seconded the motion.
Vote 4-0-1 in favor of the motion.
Bill made the motion to adjourn at 9:52 a.m.
Peter seconded the motion.
Vote 4-0-1 in favor of the motion.
The minutes were taken by Selectboard Member Bill Ormerod.
This meeting was warned in five places in town; Fairfax Town Office, BFA Library, Nan’s, Foothills Bakery and Fairfax Post Office.
The minutes are unofficial until approved at the next Selectboard meeting.
