Derner-Hamel
ST. ALBANS — Barbara Jeanne Hamel, daughter of Clifford Hamel and Judith Hamel, and Joshua Aaron Derner, son of David Derner and Lynn Dawson, were united in marriage Oct. 8.
The Rev. Charles Ranges, S.S.E.. officiated at the double-ring ceremony in St. Mary Catholic Church.
Bernadette Lawrence was rnaid of honor. Bridesmaids were Theresa Somerset, Kendra McAllister-Hibbard, Sharon Derner, Alyssa Dawson and Erin House.
Jason Derner was best man. Ushers were Joseph Hamel, Jason Guyman, Brian Meisenzahl and Joel Shedd. Brady Hibbard was ring bearer.
A reception was held at Highgate Manor, after which the couple left for Disney World in Florida.
Mrs. Derner graduated from Rice Memorial High School and Trinity College of Vermont, She is employed by Vermont Student Assistance Corp. Her husband graduated from Bellows Free Academy in Fairfax and Rochester Institute of Technology. He is a free-lance artist. They reside in Fairfax.
